August __, 2010 – Burlington Coat Factory announced the signing of a 75,890 square foot location at Tri City Center in Redlands, California.   The center is undergoing a repositioning, revitalization, and expansion to become a mixed-use district known as Redlands Promenade.    Burlington Coast Factory and Redlands Promenade (now Tri City Center) anchor the east end of the Inland Empire’s vibrant Alabama-Waterman Corridor (the “Corridor”).   Burlington Coat Factory joins Ross Dress for Less, Styles for Less, and Citiwear, at Tri City Center providing an impressive destination for shoppers seeking great value in brand name apparel and accessories.

“We see the Burlington Coat Factory deal as another sign of resilience for the top restaurant and retailer tenants situated in the Corridor, “ said Anoushavan Abrahamian, “these retailers have shown great staying power during the national economic downturn which we think bodes very well for the Corridor as the economy improves.   This is clearly the retail and restaurant location of choice in this part of the Inland Empire region.”

A study commissioned by A+O Properties by retail consultant StoneCreek Partners, notes that since 1980, more than two hundred brand name retailers and almost 50 top national restaurant chains have located in the Alabama – Waterman Corridor – a 4-mile stretch of Interstate 10.   “The Corridor is the next major retail, restaurant, and entertainment node in the Inland Empire, east of Victoria Gardens, “ said Morton, “it is clearly the location of choice in this part of the region.  Frankly, as we reviewed the study of the Corridor, it was clear that if all these retailers and restaurant operators had situated within one large project, publicists would have long established the Corridor as one of the great tenant rosters gathered within a Southern California project.

Burlington Coat Factory brings a destination retailer to Redlands and the Corridor, well known to consumers for a large selection of designer and brand name coats, clothing, and shoes for the entire family.  Although coats are a promise of the store name, Burlington Coat Factory offers a full line of ladies dresses and suits, ladies career and casual collections, and lingerie.  For men, the store retailer offers an extensive men’s clothing line, furnishings,, sportswear and active wear.  Items for children, pre-teen, and newborns, round out the stores offerings.    Burlington Coat Factory even offers departments featuring linens, home décor, and a full line of baby products.
